PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU APPROVES 7 NEW TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS FOR NIGERIA
In a recent move that underscores its unwavering commitment to the development of education in Nigeria, the Federal Government has approved the immediate establishment of seven new tertiary institutions.
This announcement comes as part of the administration’s broader agenda to foster continuity in governance, uphold policy consistency, and bolster the nation’s educational framework.
Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), the administration has taken a significant step to expand the horizons of tertiary education in Nigeria. Specifically, four existing Colleges of Education will be upgraded to Federal Universities of Education. This is in addition to the establishment of two new Federal Universities focusing on Medical and Health Sciences and Agriculture, and the introduction of five brand-new Colleges of Education.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES:
1. Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, Delta State
2. Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, Adamawa State
COLLEGES TRANSFORMED INTO FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES OF EDUCATION:
3. Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Ondo State
4. Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State
EMERGING COLLEGES OF EDUCATION:
5. Federal College of Education, Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti State
6. Federal College of Education, Ididep, Ibiono, Akwa Ibom State
7. Federal College of Education (Technical), Yauri, Kebbi State

The establishment and evolution of these institutions signify more than just infrastructural expansion.
