The Governor , Dr. Alex Otti Joins The Wesley Cathedral Methodist Church, Aba In Their Covenant / Thanksgiving Service

The Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, OFR has joined the members of Wesley Cathedral Methodist Church, Aba in their Covenant/ Thanksgiving Service which was held on the 28th of January, 2024 at Methodist Church Wesley Cathedral Circuit, 36/46 Park Rd Aba.
The Governor who was a special guest in the Thanksgiving Service thanked the Lord God Almighty for the gift of life and for the election tribunal victory God gave to him.
He said he has returned to give God thanks and praise as well as fulfill his vow according to the book of Psalms 50 verse 14 and 15.
The Governor Dr. Alex Otti elaborated on the importance of being thankful and grateful to God and the need to always fulfill vows when they are made.

The Governor used the medium to thank and appreciate the Congregation and the People of Aba for supporting them fully and whole heatedly. He said they are grateful to us for responding to their call and for voting them.
They are glad and thankful to us for giving him and his party (LP) Labour Party our mandates, there by giving them the power to pioneer and navigate the affairs of Abia State. They are also grateful for the prayers offered for them that culminated in their victory in the Tribunals, both in the Appeal and Supreme court.

In his speech during the Thanksgiving Service, the Governor said “help has come to Abia State”
The Governor reiterated that the road Projects which his Administration has begun in Aba is just a rehearsal as more of its kinds are on the pipeline.
He urged the people of Aba to remain steadfast in their support to his Administration and also requested for their prayers and cooperation in keeping Aba and its environs clean.
The Governor admonished the people of Aba to shun the dirty attitude and habit of littering the environment and gutters with waste products.

The guest Speaker Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba in his Sermon on the topic ” The Great Awakening” said the Governor Dr Alex Otti is the gift of God to Abia State. God prepared him and sent him to deliver Abia State from shame and reproach.
Rev. Prof. Madugba spoke on the need for revival in the church and in the Nation in order to curb the atrocities that is now the order of the day in the world.
In his words, there is need for revival, so that the profile of the church will return and also for the children of God to overcome the darkness that wants to cover the land.

In rounding off the Thanksgiving Service, the chief host, the Most Rev. Dr. G.A. Agupusi, MFR, the Arch Bishop of Aba assured the Governor of their full fledged and unwavering support for him and his Administration. He prayed that God will keep protecting him and remove any bad egg among his cabinets. The Bishop prayed to God that he will never lack good sense of judgement, that God will grant him favour among all men and will never allow any evil to befall him and his family.

The Governor who graced the occasion in the company of his wife Mrs Priscilla Otti, the Chief of Staff Dr Caleb Ajagba, the Mayor of Aba South Chief Uche Wogu and other Government officials bid the Congregation farewell.
