President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Resolves To providing Decent, Quality And Affordable Housing To All Nigerians



President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has resolved to provide decent, quality and affordable housing to all Nigerians.

The Hon Minister of Housing and Urban Development , Arc.Ahmed Musa Dangiwa stated this during the groundbreaking of 250 Housing Unit Renewed Hope Estate in Bende, Abia State.

He said the project is a continuation of the Nationwide groundbreaking exercise for Housing Units Projects under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates programmes of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development which President Ahmed Tinubu  launched in February with the commissioning of groundbreaking of 3,112 Housing Units in Abuja.

According to him,under the Phase One of the program  , they plan to deliver a total of 50 Housing Units across the country which will include 7 Renewed Hope Cities that will have 50, 500 and 1,000 Housing Units per site in each of the 6 Geo-political zones in the country and The FCT “while the Estates will have 250 Units per sites in the remaining 30 States.

The Minister  promised to deliver a 250 Decent,Quality and Affordable housing Units in a mix of 1,2 and 3 Semi Detached Bungalows to 250 households which will ensure that there will be option for everyone both low and high income earners to own a house of their own.

He further stated that the Renewed Hope Housing will equally help in creating jobs, boosting economic development as well as changing the Housing Landscape for good .

He also announced that the Federal Government has awarded the contract for the construction of Federal Secretariat Complex in Ekeoba ,Abia State In line with the plans of government to have a strong presence in each of the states in the country.

In his address, the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti, represented by his Deputy Engr, Ikechukwu Emetu thanked the president for bringing the laudable project to the state and promised the Hon. Minister of the state government’s commitment to making sure that every other Federal government project in the state will be protected and also provide the necessary assistance to actualize them.

The Governor noted that the project will bring economic growth as well as provide direct and indirect jobs to its citizens.

Presenting his brief earlier, Arc. Ugochukwu Otti, on behalf of the contractors handling the project promised to deliver a quality job stating that the Estate will be well serviced with a good network of roads as well as reticulated water system and electricity in other to provide comfort and safety of its inhabitants.

They equally promised to oblige to conform with all the tenets of the contract by providing quality work and making sure the project remains a legacy project as envisaged by his Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
