HOS Charges Labour Unions To Collaborate With Government To Wipe Out The Ills Bedeviling The Civil/Public Service



Worried by the social vices and criminalities that have eaten deep in the Service, Abia State Head of Service, Dr. Mrs. Queen Obioma, has called on Labour Unions to collaborate Government in its unbendable efforts to wipe out the ills bedeviling the Civil/Public Service o.

Dr. Mrs. Obioma who made her feelings known in her Office, when the newly elected Executive Members of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Abia State Chapter, visited her, charged them to sensitize and inculcate in their members (Local Government Staff)
good virtues and moral rectitute as a way of returning the service to its lost glory.

The State Head of Service who particularly, bemoaned the rampancy with which Civil/Public Servants now falsify their documents to perpetuate their stay in the Service thereby, neglecting the laid down rules governing the service, argued that when evil thrives unabated it seems to be a rule/norm and challenged the Unions to rise up to the challenge of ensuring a proactive and virile service.

Dr. Mrs. Obioma however, urged Civil/Public Servants to be patient with the Government as it is making frantic efforts to pay whatever that is owe to them and reminded workers that they it as a sacred duty to always demonstrate high degree of loyalty, honesty and commitment in the discharge of their duties.

Earlier, the President NULGE, Abia Chapter, Mrs. Linda Ihuoma Unaeze said they were on the visit to familiarize with her and assured to partner Government in ensuring a better Service.
