Commissioner Okey Kalu Urges Abians To Key Into New Year With Vigour

As Abians have been ushered into the New Year, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu has urged Abia people and residents to embrace the New Year, 2024 with vigour.

Prince Okey Kanu, in a release, thanked the Almighty God for bringing the people into the New Year and maintained that it is only by God’s grace that the people were ushered into the New Year. He described the year 2024 as a year of new beginning in Abia, where the people would witness unprecedented infrastructural and economic development under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti, OFR.

The Commissioner called on Abians to make better New Year resolutions which should include, resolving to remain resolute in the support of the focused and visionary administration of Governor Alex Otti, who is building a New Abia with great commitment.

Acording to Prince Kanu, Governor Otti has within the last seven months in office redefined governance in the State in various areas including road constructions, reconstructions and maintenance, retrofitting of hospitals, renovation and rebuilding of schools, embarking on Light up Abia Initiative, waste management,
reforms in the civil service, regular payment of salaries and pensions as well as breaking the jinx of paying civil servants what is popularly referred to as 13th month among others.

Prince Okey Kanu, who harped on the need for Abians and residents to sustain their support for Governor Alex Otti, assured that the Governor would be doing more in this 2024. He felicitated with Governor Alex Otti and all Abians in general on the New Year celebrations and wished them a prosperous New Year.
