After Serving As Deaconess For 30 Years, Church Presents Merit Award To Caroline Nwankwo

As part of activities marking the 2023 Women’s Rally of The Apostolic Church Nigeria Iberenta District headquarters in Ikwuano LGA, the church has presented an award of
MOTHER GENERAL to Deaconess Caroline Ulogwarama Samuel-Nwankwo, the mother of Mr. Divine Nwankwo, Principal Information Officer in Abia State Civil Service.

Presenting the award today to Deaconess Caroline Nwankwo, who has served as Deaconess for 30 years, having been appointed in 1993, the District Pastor of The Apostolic Church Nigeria , Iberenta District, Apostle Godwin Onyekachi Martins and the leader of the Women’s Movement of the church, Deaconess P.O Godwin said that the award presented to Deaconess Nwankwo was in recognition of her contributions the church for decades. They enjoined her and other awardees to sustain their faith in God and continue to do the things that made the church to honour them.

In their reactions, some of the sons of Deaconess Caroline Nwankwo including Mr. Divine Nwankwo of the Abia State Ministry of Information and Culture and an academic, Dr. Chukwukere Nwankwo appreciated the church for recognizing their dutiful and committed mother and honouring her with the award.

They said, their mother deserves to be celebrated for her consistency and unwavering commitment to God and the church, adding that , there is no Pastor that has pastored the local church or nearby Assemblies and Districts in T.A.C in Ikwuano LGA that can not attest to the benevolence and hospitality of their mother.

They recalled how their mother, though a then young widow, introduced them to God and The Apostolic Church from infancy and ensured they were well fed with the unadulterated word of God which did not only introduce them to Jesus Christ as teenagers but gave them solid foundation in Christ. Mr. Divine Nwankwo and Dr. Chukwukere Nwankwo thanked God for His mercies in the life of their mother, especially for making their mother to be celebrated alive by the church she has served as a Deaconess for about 30 years.

Responding, the Awardee, Deaconess Caroline Nwankwo thanked the church for acknowledging her contributions to the work of God. She said she was overwhelmed by the recognition and reassured the church of her unrestrained commitment to serving the Lord in The Apostolic Church Nigeria until her last day on Earth, saying that the Lord has been more than faithful to her.

Other awardees included Deaconess Nwankwo’s older cousin, Helen Imeremba, Deaconess Mary Awom, Deaconess, Love Okorie, Charity Ikwulegbu and Glory Ikeogu, while the event attracted worthy sons and daughters of T.A.C.N Iberenta District headquarters including Chief Barr. Emeka Ukazu, Evang. Udochukwu Imeremba, Evangelist Peculiar Imeremba, Evangelist Chibuzor Nwankwo, Engr. Don Onyegbula, Engr. Chimuanya Onyegbula, Imeremba Imeremba of the Real FM Radio, Aba among others.
