Abia State Otti’s Aunt, Late Mrs Uzoamaka Chinenye Nwaze ,Laid To Rest
The remains of late Mrs Uzoamaka Chinenye Nwaze, auntie to the Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has been laid to rest in her hometown, Uburu -Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State.
Speaking during a funeral service conducted in her honour by the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Uburu Parish, the Governor, Dr Alex Otti thanked God for the life lived by the deceased and described her as a great and good woman, compassionate with a heart of gold.
The Governor said that the demise of her late auntie was a shock to him and the rest of her family having been looked after alongside his younger brother by the deceased during their early days.
The Abia State Chief Executive, who stated that her auntie did not die but transited to etermal glory, advised the bereaved family to take heart and expressed the hope that late Mrs Uzoamaka Nwaze will rise again on the resurrection morning.
In a sermon, on the topic; “What Life? The Rev. Emmanuel Agwu enjoined all not to boast about life as no one knows the begining and end of life.
He called on all to surrender their lives to Christ as no one knows tomorrow, adding that the only thing that will keep our memories are the good things we did during our life time.
In a biography on behalf of the family, the eldest son, Mr Fidelis Nwaze described their mother as an excellent family woman who raised her children to become responsible, fostered peace and unity and served God fervently during her life time.
Late Mrs Uzoamaka Chinenye Nwaze who died at the age of 65 years was survived by her husband Mazi Fidelis Ogba Nwaze , her children and host of other relations.
A former GOC 81 Division Lagos, Rtd Major General Obi Abel Umahi, the Deputy Speaker Abia House of Assembly, Mr Austin Nmeregini, the SSG, Professor Kenneth Kalu, Chief of Staff to the Governor Pastor Caleb Ajagba, other members of the State Executive Council and other government officials attended the funeral.
